As a village school, we value our local community  and seek to strengthen our relationship through partnerships and projects. We believe that being part of and engaging in community gives our pupils, staff and parents a sense of belonging and security.

Our Broad Chalke community is not restricted to the geographical place. Embracing a sense of community has allowed us to broaden our engagement and involvement with local, national and international partnerships.

There are so many benefits of engaging in community which include: connection, learning, passion and support.

Our current partnerships and community links-
  • FOBS (Friends of Broad Chalke School)- see separate link
  • Our School Chaplain- Becs is in school every Tuesday. She welcomes parents into school at the gate, supports pupils and leads our singing worship.
  • The Church- Reverend Alison is in school every Thursday and leads our whole school Collective Worship
  • Broad Chalke Community - We are a close-knit community.  Wherever there is an opportunity to support our community...we will! For example- Singing at The Hub, welcoming Chalke Valley Playschool into the school, Inviting local visitors into the school etc
  • Local PCSOs (Police Community Support Officers)-Charlotte is our local PCSO. She supports our pupils through leading class sessions or meeting pupils 1:1.
  • Child of Hope (Uganda school link and partnership)-We hold an annual Uganda Experience Day where our children wear the Uganda flag colours and learn more about what life is like in a Ugandan school
